Last week, Innovative’s team of point-of-sale experts set up at NRF 2016, the largest and longest running retail-focused trade show in the country. Also known as Retail’s BIG Show, NRF filled two floors of New York’s Javits Center, showcasing the latest advancements in the world of POS to thousands of attendees from the retail industry.
If you couldn’t make it to the Javits Center, we’ve captured a few highlights for you right here.
The NRF iLab is a platform for major developments in retail technology. This year, attendees and exhibitors were able to meet Pepper, a humanoid robot that can read emotions and speak several languages.
Perch Interactive showcased how customers can truly be immersed in the shopping experience. Lift a product and hear review, get information about how to style it, or listen to music. Visitors to the Perch booth could make a song with their nail polish display without even laying a hand on the product!
Plain shopping bags are a thing of the past. At NRF, retailers were showcasing innovations in all facets of the industry, including bagging. Amran + Burltex Packaging had a number of custom-designed options that made the back outside just as interesting as what is inside.
